Hayabusa

Eiji Ezaki was born on November 29, 1968 in Kumamoto, Yatsuhiro Japan.

In 1987, Eiji Ezaki went to college where he would meet Masashi Honda. Both Eiji and Honda quickly found out that both of them shared a love for wrestling.

At the age of 23, Eiji and Honda would begin to wrestle in college at very small shows for fun, but it wasn't until February 1991 when Masashi Honda would put in a FMW tape where Atsushi Onita wrestled Tarzan Goto in the first ever Exploding Barbwire match and tell Eiji that he was planning on joining the FMW Dojo. Masashi was sure that he wanted to enter FMW, and asked Eiji if he would like to join it. Eiji turned down the offer as he felt that FMW was just too dangerous to enter. Honda ended up packing his bags to move to the FMW Dojo where he could train to be a pro wrestler, as Honda was leaving, Eiji was already outside packed and ready to go.

Tarzan Goto was assigned their trainer, and before they even got started, Eiji and Honda were force to do 1000 pushups to prove themselves.

Eiji and Honda were forced to do many obstacles including scrubbing every inch of the Dojo everyday, and doing a treacherous training everyday for several months while learning the basics of pro-wrestling.

After the months of suffering in the Dojo, Goto agreed that it was time for them to become professional wrestlers.

Eiji Ezaki wrestled his first ever career match for FMW on May 5, 1991 in Nagoya with Amigo Ultra who would later be known as Damian as they lost to the team of Yukihide Ueno & El Pandita. Ezaki considered it to be a very disappointing performance in his debut match. His second match would be a handicap match as Ezaki teamed with Flying Kid Ichihara against The Gladiator. It was a quick squash for Gladiator and another disappointing performance in Ezaki's mind.

Then in June 1991, Eiji Ezaki wrestled his first singles professional match against Yukihide Ueno, the same day Masashi Honda would made his debut against Flying Kid Ichihara. Both were very happy with the outcome, and Ezaki considered the match to be his real debut. That night FMW threw a party for the wrestlers, as FMW Dojo teachers Atsushi Onita and Tarzan Goto went up to Ezaki and Honda to congratulate them on their performances. Onita & Goto being the Dojo teachers trying to get the younger green wrestlers to pay their dues in the business suggest that the light a firecracker for the celebration, in their ass'.
In the Dojo, both Ezaki and Honda were force to put firecrackers up each other's ass and explode them while still in the ass Ezaki and Honda were injured after the display, but after people got word of the experience, it would become a very famous incident for FMW and its Dojo.

Eiji Ezaki & Masashi Honda wrestled in the biggest match of their career at the time in the opening match at the biggest FMW show at the time against each other on September 23, 1991 at Kawasaki Stadium. Eiji Ezaki won the match, but many people who saw the match saw the potential in Honda and not Ezaki.

Eiji Ezaki & Masashi Honda went back to training in the Dojo and opening FMW shows when FMW Booker and Referee Go Ito felt it was time to take Masashi Honda to the next level and give him a new name. Mr. Gannosuke. Mr. Gannosuke would be one of Atsushi Onita and Tarzan Goto's teammate in main events of FMW shows while Ezaki would stay in preliminary matches.

Ezaki was used as a preliminary worker for wrestlers like The Gladiator, Lance Storm, and Chris Jericho to be put over on houseshows., while Gannosuke began to team with Atsushi Onita and Tarzan Goto in the main event on those same houseshows.

Eiji Ezaki began to feel like overshadowed by how his best friend was getting all this attention, while he was just some prelim jobber still training in the FMW Dojo. Soon after Gannosuke left the Dojo to focus fulltime to become a midcard singles wrestler or partner with Onita and Goto in the main event, while Eiji Ezaki and new Dojo member Koji Nakagawa began training with each other.

On September 19, 1992 at the Yokohama Stadium, Eiji Ezaki and Koji Nakagawa teamed up to take on Kevin Faule & Chris Jericho which would be the prelim tag teams debut at a major show, Jericho would end up getting the pinfall victory over Nakagawa in the matchup.

Eiji Ezaki & Koji Nakagawa were then given a shot as they would have the opening match up on May 5, 1993 at Kawasaki Stadium. Ezaki on this show impressed many people with his highflying ability that he had, and many people after the match felt that Eiji Ezaki with a lot work on him could be the next big thing for FMW.

Eiji Ezaki & Koji Nakagawa remained training in the FMW Dojo for most of 1993, and on July 22, 1993 after Atsushi Onita was being attacked by his main rival Mr. Pogo, Ezaki ran out to the ring to try and help Onita after Mr. Pogo had blown fire allover Onita's back.

In the later part of 1993, FMW decided for Eiji to send to Mexico along with wrestlers such as Flying Kid Ichihara so that he could work on his in-ring flaws before returning to the promotion.

In 1994, Ezaki met with New Japan Wrestler Jushin Liger who had been good friends with Ezaki for awhile, and Liger suggested that Eiji Ezaki could use a gimmick that was similar to his gimmick. Eiji tried it by using a unique outfit like Liger's was, and Eiji called himself "Hayabusa" which means Falcon and "The Bird that never dies" Ezaki used the gimmick is several matches in Mexico which was very well received, and Hayabusa began doing very spectacular moves like the Shooting Star Press.

The New Japan Super J Cup 1994 would be happening soon and Liger wanted his two friends from FMW to enter the tournament, Hayabusa and Ricky Fuji. Liger wanted to be Ezaki's first opponent under the Hayabusa gimmick in Ezaki's first Japanese match under the gimmick. Liger booked himself in a first round match against Hayabusa, where Liger defeated Hayabusa who still was very green.

Ezaki was then sent back to Mexico in 1994, where he worked on moves like the 450 splash which he called the Fire Bird Splash.

August 28, 1994 in Osaka, FMW wanted Eiji to try out to Hayabusa gimmick in the promotion and called him back for one match against Sabu who was leaving the company for a fulltime deal with ECW. Eiji showed off all his moves that he learned in Mexico to a shocked crowd that could not believe at how well Ezaki had improved within the year as far as moves, he still had a lot of work to do with other parts in wrestling though.

Ezaki returned to Mexico to work on those flaws, and then moved to Florida began working in the Florida Independents in April 1995 where he competed in the Florida Wrestling Federation and defeated The Navy Seal for the PWF Heavyweight Championship. He wrestled the likes of Green Beret, Vern Henderson, Bill Garrett and would eventually lose the title two weeks after winning it to Randy Fuller in Hayabusa's first and only match where he played the heel of the match.

During his stint in Florida, he got a call from FMW to return to Japan as soon as he could, because something big had just happen.

Ezaki's trainer Tarzan Goto and his best friend who he trained with Mr. Gannosuke had left FMW for a better spot in IWA. Goto refused to job to Onita at Onita's Retirement Show on May 5, 1995. FMW then decided that with Goto and Gannosuke gone, and Onita retiring, that they would have to create a new star, and that new star would be someone who they thought had so much potential for the last two years in Hayabusa.

So on April 30, 1995 FMW ran a angle where Hayabusa came in during the a press conference Atsushi Onita was conducting on who would he would wrestle in his retirement match now that Goto had left the promotion.. Hayabusa asked if he could be the man to wrestle Onita at the May 5th 1995 Onita Retirement show.. Onita was angered at the youngster for barging in on the press conference but then agreed to the match.

May 5, 1995 at Kawasaki Stadium Hayabusa wrestles the biggest match of his career as he wrestles the retiring Atsushi Onita in front of over 58,000 fans in a Exploding Barbwire Cage Match. Hayabusa takes bumps like he never had as he is sent into the exploding cage several times, and even gets sent into the cage while the Cage explodes. Even after all that Hayabusa still manages to be able to climb the cage and do an incredible moonsault off the top of the cage, but misses and Onita takes advantage of it by putting Hayabusa away for the victory in his Retirement Match. Hayabusa is stretcher out to a loud "Ezaki" chant and is unmasked backstage by the paramedics showing his face for the first time in over a year.

May 17, 1995, With Hayabusa now being the main leader of the promotion, they could no longer use Mr. Pogo as the top heel, with him and Hayabusa's style being so completely different. They decide to push The Gladiator who had been with the promotion for over five years, and in Hayabusa's first match after the Exploding Cage Match, Gladiator pins Hayabusa after a Running Awesome Bomb for the win.
After the match, Ricky Fuji proclaims that he has started a group called Lethal Weapon that consist of The Gladiator, Horace Boulder, Hisakatsu Oya, and Mr. Pogo that will take out Hayabusa.

June 26, 1995 at Korakuen Hall, after Onita retired, he vacated the FMW Brass Knuckles Championship. FMW announced that Hayabusa would wrestle Hisakatsu Oya for this vacated Title. Hayabusa shows a side he had not shown before, where he and Oya work on a incredible mat wrestling match with Hayabusa getting the victory on Oya after debuting "The Falcon Arrow" to win the Brass Knuckles Championship. After the match, Hayabusa is presented the belt in the locker room but suffered a injury during the match to his neck and was forced to vacate the Brass Knuckles Title once again.

July 30, 1995, Hayabusa returns to the ring and wrestles The Gladiator for the first time in a Single Match but is not enough for The Gladiator's Awesome Bombs as Hayabusa hurts his neck tremendously from an Awesome Bomb, which set him up for the Kamikaze Awesome Bomb and the lost. Hayabusa is quickly put into an ambulance and taken to the hospital to check and see the injuries he sustained in the neck from the Awesome Bomb.

August 1995, FMW announces that they will have a 8 Man Round Robin Tournament which will culminate on September 26, 1995 at Korakuen Hall. The eight men are Hayabusa, The Gladiator, Hisakatsu Oya, Katsutoshi Niiyama, Super Leather, Masato Tanaka, Mitsuhiro Matsunaga, and W*ING Kanemura.

August 31, 1995 in Osaka, Hayabusa had won the three matches of the tournament with only one lost to Super Leather. He was scheduled to have a match with Hisakatsu Oya, a wrestler who Hayabusa worked very well against. The two went to an awesome thirty minute time limit match up where Oya spent almost the entire match dropping Hayabusa on his head with some devastating supplex. Hayabusa in tremendous pain gets a standing ovation from the crowd for the awesome match, he and Oya had just put on.

September 5, 1995 at the Sapporo Nakajima Sports Center, Hayabusa and The Gladiator meet once again one on one, this time in the Tournament and Hayabusa finally defeats The Gladiator, keeping him alive in the Tournament. He would have to wrestle Mitsuhiro Matsunaga to make it into the finals.

September 24, 1995, Hayabusa is scheduled to go up against Mitsuhiro Matsunaga in the last match of the tournament, the winner faces The Gladiator in the finals who had defeated Super Leather at the same show to make it. Hayabusa finishes Matsunaga off with a Shooting Star Press for the victory. Hayabusa would get in second place overall in the tournament and would be scheduled to face The Gladiator who got first place overall in the tournament in two days at Korakuen Hall for the Brass Knuckles Championship.

September 26, 1995 at Korakuen Hall, Hayabusa meets The Gladiator in the finals for the FMW Brass Knuckles Championship. The match goes over 20 minutes and is both one of Hayabusa and Gladiator's best matches of their careers. Hayabusa would eventually climb the top rope but The Gladiator would climb it as well and win the fight for control over it and The Gladiator would score a Awesome Bomb off the top rope to get the pinfall victory over Hayabusa to win the tournament for the Brass Knuckles Championship. Hayabusa and Gladiator would embrace after the match and congratulate afterwards on a hard fought battle.

October 28, 1995 at Korakuen Hall, Hayabusa & Mitsuhiro Matsunaga team up to take on Masato Tanaka & W*ING Kanemura a bloody fight where Tanaka pulls off Hayabusa's mask in the middle of it causing him to lose the mask for the first time during a match. Hayabusa & Matsunaga still manage to put away Kanemura and Tanaka as Hayabusa pins Tanaka with a Falcon Arrow. After the match, Hayabusa, Mastuanga, Kanemura, and Tanaka all show each other respect but are suddenly attacked by Ricky Fuji, Hisakatsu Oya, The Gladiator, Horace Boulder, and Super Leather. After the attack, Hayabusa & Mitsuhiro Matsunaga & Masato Tanaka & W*ING Kanemura all form an alliance together to take out Lethal Weapon and Super Leather.

November 11, 1995 at Korakuen Hall, Kanemura offers his W*ING friends Hideki Hosaka and Hido to join him, Hayabusa & Tanaka & Matsunaga to help take out Lethal Weapon. Hosaka accepts, but Hido rejects the offer and sides with Lethal Weapon and Super Leather. In the main event, Hayabusa & Kanemura & Tanaka defeat The Gladiator & Hisakatsu Oya & Super Leather after Tanaka pins Oya. Hido runs in and attacks Hayabusa & Tanaka, but is ran off by Kanemura.

November 20, 1995 Mr. Pogo returns after a short leave from FMW and sides with Lethal Weapon & W*ING and who attack Hayabusa right after a match, unmasks him and leave Hayabusa laying. Hayabusa questions why Kanemura did not help him out and questions whether he is back with W*ING and Lethal Weapon. Kanemura becomes very upset that Hayabusa would assume such a thing, and leaves.

November 26, 1995, W*ING Kanemura & Mitsuhiro Matsunaga turn on Hayabusa and Tanaka while Hido and Super Leather turn on Horace Boulder during a match up, as Jason the Terrible & W*ING Kanemura & Mitsuhiro Mastuanga & Super Leather & Hideki Hosaka & Hido reform W*ING.

January 10, 1996 in a Spider Net Barbwire Caribbean Glass Death Match between Hayabusa & Masato Tanaka & Koji Nakagawa against the W*ING team of Mastuanga, Kanemura, and Hido. Hayabusa is dumped into the barbwire net with glass in it and is severely injured as he is pinned by Mastuanga. Hayabusa is then hospitalized and treated for his scarred and bloodied back and stomach. Hayabusa remains out of action for almost four months, but is cleared to return to the ring for the big May 5, 1996 Kawasaki Stadium show to team with Masato Tanaka to do battle with the returning Victor Quinones' group of Mr. Pogo and a Mystery Partner in a Exploding Ring Barbwire, Landmine Death Match.

May 5, 1996 at Kawasaki Stadium, Hayabusa & Masato Tanaka team up to wrestle Victor Quinones' team of Mr. Pogo and their Mystery Partner Terry Funk with the winner receiving 1 Million Yen in the Death Match. Hayabusa is again severely injured as his back is cut open after being tossed onto Exploding Barbwire and being dropped into a Exploding Land Mind, and then tossed onto a burning chair, and is finally pinned after a Powerbomb from Funk for the lost. Funk and Pogo then begin to tear off Hayabusa's to show every the bloody face of Eiji Ezaki. Hayabusa is quickly stretcher off as Terry Funk grabs the mic and begins calling out the retired Atsushi Onita who is in the stands watching the match. In the locker room, a bloodied mask less Hayabusa begins crying because of how much money he had just cost the promotion and says he was full of shit to think he could lead this promotion.. Atsushi Onita goes over to the locker room, and begins screaming at Hayabusa for sobbing and tells Hayabusa that if he wants to lead this promotion to greatness like he did, he'll need to grow up and take these kind of incidents like a man would. The scarred up and bloodied Hayabusa gets up and goes back to his locker room before taking another trip to the hospital to receive over 100 stitches for his cut up back.

Eiji Ezaki remained out of action for a couple months as he healed and waited for his contract with FMW to expire so he could decide what to do with his career. While in Florida, he decided to go backstage to a WCW World Wide taping show where his best friend Jushin Liger would be. Liger and Ezaki talked for awhile which lead to Liger offering Ezaki a contract with New Japan Pro Wrestling, where Ezaki would be pushed as one of the top Jr. Heavyweights for the promotion for much more money than he was receiving with FMW. Ezaki sat back and waited awhile to make the decision that would probably affect the rest of his wrestling career. He ended up choosing to go back to FMW, where he would be used as the Number one wrestler in the promotion. When he called to tell his best friend Jushin Liger, that he was going to stay with FMW instead of going with New Japan, it made Liger furious and Liger began screaming and yelling at his best friend for the stupid decision he apparently was making. Liger then told Ezaki, that if that was his choice, then their friendship was over, Ezaki still decided that staying with FMW was the best thing to do, and he and Liger have not talk to each other since the incident.

As Hayabusa stays in the ring clearly frustrated after losing to Oya from the crowd comes Michinoku Pro's Jinsei Shinzaki who enters the ring and just looks at Hayabusa, the two would end up scheduling a match for Michinoku Pro's October 10, 1996 Sumo Hall show.

October 10, 1996 at Michinoku Pro's Ryogoku Sumo Hall, Hayabusa wrestles Jinsei Shinzaki in the Main Event, the two put on a lackluster match which again shows that Hayabusa is still in a slump has still lost a step as he eventually falls victim to Jinsei Shinzaki's Praying Powerbomb for the easy victory for Shinzaki. Mr. Gannosuke surprises many people by having such a good match with Hayabusa. Hayabusa manages to beat Gannosuke after a Falcon Arrow and then grabs the mic and states that Gannosuke will not have to cut his hair, if he leaves The Funk Masters of Wrestling group and sides with Hayabusa and the FMW Team. As Gannosuke looks at Hayabusa and puts out his hand, as Hayabusa is about to shake it, Gannosuke kicks him in the stomach and becomes beating the crap out of Hayabusa, and then pulls off his mask. As Gannosuke begins to get ready to spit fire at him, Jinsei Shinzaki runs to the ring to make the save. Gannosuke leaves declaring war on both wrestlers as he leaves with the Hayabusa mask. Hayabusa does an interview backstage where he begins to cry at what his former best friend just did to him. Atsushi Onita who has returned on December 11, 1996 to the ring overhears Hayabusa's interview and begins screaming at him and tells him to "quit acting like a pussy", and take it like a man. Hayabusa looks at him and walks off once again.

June 12, 1997 Jinsei Shinzaki announces that he will be wrestling for FMW fulltime as a Michinoku Wrestler, as he is leaving to the locker room Mr. Gannosuke attacks him from behind with a Hayabusa mask on, and begins to beat the crap out of Shinzaki with a stick which bust Shinzaki's head open badly, as Gannosuke rips off the Hayabusa mask and sets it on fire, as Gannosuke proclaims his revenge on Shinzaki for what he did at the Yokohama Arena.

H challenges Hayabusa to an Anus Explosion match at the next Korakuen Hall show where the winner would get to set the other wrestlers ass on fire just like in June 1991 when Ezaki and Honda were force to set each others ass on fire in the Dojo.

October 29, 1999 at Korakuen Hall, H and Hayabusa wrestle in a Anus Exploding Match, the two brawl around the building the whole match until Hayabusa locks H to the turnbuckle with handcuffs and then pulls down his pants and lights and explodes H's ass with a bottle rocket, until Naohiko Yamazaki finally manages to get the key and unlock H as Hayabusa runs off laughing at the experience Ezaki just went through. As Hayabusa is down, Shawn goes over to Hayabusa and begins to pull off his mask, but H quickly goes over and stops Michaels from doing so. As H is holding Shawn Michaels back, Hayabusa gets up and looks over both of them and then takes off his mask to finally reveal Mr. Gannosuke under the mask. H and Gannosuke go at it for the rest of the match, with Gannosuke actually hitting a reverse piledriver off the apron onto the outside. Gannosuke then hits many supplexs on H and even brings back the Fire Thunder but still only gets a two count. H then takes the offense and hits an H Edge on Gannosuke, and brings back many of his old Hayabusa moves including the 450 Firebird Splash and the Falcon Arrow, before he finally puts Gannosuke away with a Phoenix Splash for the three count by Shawn Michaels. Shawn Michaels then grabs the mic and congratulates them on a great match, and then tells Gannosuke to be a man and shake Ezaki's hand for great sportsmanship. H puts his hand out, as everyone in the crowd looks at Gannosuke to see if he will do what he did on April 29, 1997at the Yokohama Arena and attack Ezaki after putting his hand out in friendship. But Gannosuke this time does shake Ezaki's hand. Gannosuke then grabs the mic and proclaims that he will not apologize for what he has done. H replies with telling Honda that it doesn't matter right now, all that matters right now is that, is that the moment has come that the past is behind them now they're together once again.

Later in the show, Team Kuroda scores a victory over Sasuke, GOEMON, and Onryo when Kuroda pins Onryo with the Technan Buster. Team Kuroda begins to beat down on Sasuke as Hayabusa begins to play, but instead of Hayabusa comes out to make a save, Shinjuku Shark and Azusa Kudo have the injured Hayabusa and throw him in the ring to have Kuroda and Gannosuke beat down on the both of them including Gannosuke tearing off Sasuke's mask and putting it on as the two mock the injured and beaten down Hayabusa and The Great Sasuke.

May 5, 2001 at Kawasaki Stadium, Hayabusa returns from his reconstructive double arm surgery to team up with The Great Sasuke to wrestle WEW World Champion Tetsuhiro Kuroda and fellow Team Kuroda member Mr. Gannosuke in a Exploding Octagon Cage Death Match on the 10 Year Anniversary of Eiji Ezaki's debut match. The four battle around the ring with Hayabusa mostly fighting Gannosuke and Kuroda and Sasuke fighting. Hayabusa would be the first to be thrown into the explosions after being shoved into it by Gannosuke. Hayabusa and Gannosuke would begin battling on the outside before both hitting the side of the cage for another explosion as the entire ring blows up at the same time. Both Hayabusa and Gannosuke are knocked out for along time as Sasuke and Kuroda begin battling as the ring is filled with dust going everywhere as Hayabusa climbs in the ring and throws the knocked out Gannosuke in the ring as well. Hayabusa begins to go for the pin on Gannosuke and tries for an H Bottom when Gannosuke comes out of nowhere and gets a Gannosuke Clutch on Hayabusa but only gets a two count. Hayabusa then sets up Gannosuke for a 450 Fire Bird Splash which Gannosuke kicks out. Hayabusa finally finishes Gannosuke off with an H Thunder for the pinfall victory in his return match and his 10th year anniversary of his pro debut in FMW match. Gannosuke and Kuroda barely are able to walk out of the ring to the back as Hayabusa pulls off his mask and announces that he is now back.

May 11, 2001 at Korakuen Hall, Hayabusa makes his return to Korakuen Hall by teaming with friends Hisakatsu Oya and Ricky Fuji to take on Team Kuroda's Tetsuhiro Kuroda, Mr. Gannosuke, and Mammoth Sasaki, during the match Gannosuke and Kuroda have a miscommunication as Gannosuke accidentally clotheslines Kuroda allowing Hayabusa to hit the 450 Fire Bird Splash for the pinfall victory over the WEW World Champion Tetsuhiro Kuroda making Hayabusa the Number 1 contender for the WEW World Title going into the May 22nd Sapporo Green Dome show. Gannosuke and Kuroda argue after the match blaming the other for the lost.

May 22, 2001 at the Sapporo Green Dome, Hayabusa challenges his rival Tetsuhiro Kuroda for the WEW World Championship in a Barbwire Landmine Death Match with Kodo Fuyuki as the Special Referee. The two work some basic spots at the beginning until Hayabusa climbs up the top rope and is caught by Kuroda who drops on the turnbuckle causing Hayabusa to fall right into the Landmine setting off a huge explosion. Hayabusa would manage to get into the ring before Fuyuki would count him out, and Kuroda would begin to go to work on Hayabusa but Hayabusa would eventually kick him out to the apron and as Hayabusa attempted to throw Kuroda into the Landmines, Kuroda would hold on to the ropes for dear life until Hayabusa quickly jumps on the top rope and delivers a dropkick off the top rope sending Kuroda into the landmine setting off a even bigger explosion on that side, as Kuroda finally begins to make his way up, Hayabusa doesn't wait any longer for Kuroda to get back in the ring, and Hayabusa does a running tope con Hilo from the top rope onto Kuroda. The two manage to make their way back in as Kuroda shows obvious pain from the explosion but still manages to go right at it with Hayabusa until Mr. Gannosuke runs in the ring and tries to attack Kuroda, but Fuyuki is there to tries getting Gannosuke out of the ring, Fuyuki goes onto the apron trying to pull Gannosuke out of the ring, but Hayabusa and Kuroda double dropkick Gannosuke who hits Fuyuki and causes Fuyuki to fall into the landmine setting off another explosion. Kanemura quickly runs in and throws Gannosuke out of the ring and begins brawling him to the back as Kuroda hits the Technan Buster DDT on Hayabusa but Fuyuki is still laying on the barbwire covered landmine. Kuroda attempts to throw Hayabusa into the last remaining landmine outside of the ring, but as Hayabusa gets throw to the apron he brings Kuroda along with him and the two begin punching at each other on the apron until Kuroda clotheslines Hayabusa causing them both fall into the landmine setting off the final explosion as Fuyuki finally begins to get up and back into the ring. Both Hayabusa and Kuroda manage to get back in the ring in time and Kuroda begins going for the win by hitting Lariat after Lariat on Hayabusa for a close two count each time until Hayabusa finally ducks a lariat and hits a Tiger Supplex which Kuroda immediately gets up to and hits another clothesline for another close count by Fuyuki. Again, Kuroda goes for another clothesline but Hayabusa again ducks it and kicks Kuroda right in the head and then hits an H Thunder which surprises everyone as Kuroda manages to be the first person to kick out of the H Thunder. Hayabusa ends up hitting a German supplex on Kuroda and then sets him up and hits the 450 Fire Bird Splash and hits the H Thunder for the three count by Fuyuki for the victory and Hayabusa finally wins the WEW World Title the first major title won by Hayabusa since August 23, 1999 when he won the FMW Brass Knuckles Title for the last time in one of the best matches in Hayabusa's career.

June 8, 2001 at Korakuen Hall, FMW announcer Shoichi Arai is in the ring when FMW's Commissioner Kodo Fuyuki comes out with many business associate Stuart Levy from Tokyo pop. Fuyuki announces that he has a major announcement and wants the entire FMW locker room to come out. Hayabusa is the first one out to see what is going on. Kodo Fuyuki announces that with permission from FMW Vice President Yoshida he is going to buy FMW from under Shoichi Arai and has the money from Tokyo Pop to do so, and wants the entire FMW roster to join with him. Everyone thinking they have no choice but to do sides with Fuyuki besides Hayabusa who sticks with Shoichi Arai and Tetsuhiro Kuroda and Ricky Fuji who side at individual corners of the ring. Arai announces that he still owns 48% of FMW, where as Kodo Fuyuki has only bought 47% of the stock with the backing of Stuart Levy, and Hayabusa had bought 5% of the stock so Fuyuki does not have enough control to give the promotion to Tokyo pop and then asks all the wrestlers to come back if they want to side with FMW instead of Fuyuki. Ricky Fuji, Hisakatsu Oya, GOEMON, Azusa Kudo, Naohiko Yamazaki and eventually Onryo side with Arai and Hayabusa. Tetsuhiro Kuroda comes from his corner and grabs the mic and says that he will never side with Fuyuki no matter what, so if that means that he has to side with Arai and Hayabusa then so be it and then throws the microphone down and leaves the ring. Hayabusa and Arai's side leave. Fuyuki announces that in the main event, Hayabusa will team up with Kuroda to take on Mr. Gannosuke and Kintaro Kanemura. In the match, Gannosuke ends up getting a victory over Hayabusa with a Gannosuke Clutch to Fuyuki's happiness. Fuyuki gets in the ring and begins making his new employee Arai kiss his feet and wants Arai to slap Hayabusa. As Arai begins crying he delivers some very light slaps until Fuyuki forces Arai to punch Hayabusa, Arai begins punching Hayabusa into the corner that don't even phase Hayabusa until Arai begins crying right on Hayabusa as Hayabusa holds Arai in disgust of what Fuyuki has just forced Arai to do.

July 2, 2001 at Korakuen Hall, Fuyuki makes a match where Arai will be forced to team up with Mr. Gannosuke and Kintaro Kanemura to take on Hayabusa teaming with GOEMON and Onryo and if Arai gets pin then he will be fired as an active performer with FMW. Hayabusa scores the pinfall on Mr. Gannosuke after Fuyuki makes a 2 count but freezes before making a three count until a referee runs to the ring and knocks Fuyuki's hand down for the three count and the victory.

July 30, 2001 at the Hakata Star Lanes, Hayabusa successfully defends the WEW World Championship for the first time in a grueling battle against Mammoth Sasaki where Sasaki sets up a table on top of the turnbuckle and attempts to Super Chokeslam Hayabusa off the table placed on the turnbuckle but Hayabusa counters it and flips Sasaki off the table instead and hits Sasaki with several of his finishers before climbing up the turnbuckle with the table and hitting Sasaki with a 450 Fire Bird Splash for the victory and Hayabusa's first WEW World Title defense.

August 3, 2001 at Korakuen Hall, Hayabusa agrees that if he teams with GOEMON and Onryo and loses to Mr. Gannosuke, Kintaro Kanemura, and Mammoth Sasaki then he will put up 5% of his stock at the August11th Komazawa Olympic Gym. Hayabusa falls victim to Gannosuke's Thunder Fire and then right away is picked up by Kanemura and given a Thunder Fire Power Bomb as Kintaro Kanemura scores only his second pinfall over Hayabusa to win the match and forces Hayabusa to put up 5% of the stock he owns in FMW on August 11th. It is agreed, that the stock Hayabusa owns will be put in a Best 2 out of 3matches. Hayabusa, Tetsuhiro Kuroda, and Azusa Kudo will represent for FMW against Kodo Fuyuki, Mr. Gannosuke, and Kintaro Kanemura who will represent for Fuyuki's side. Azusa Kudo's new identity Biomonster DNA will take on Kodo Fuyuki, Tetsuhiro Kuroda will take on Mr. Gannosuke, and Hayabusa will put up his WEW World Title against Kintaro Kanemura in the third match.

August 11, 2001 at the Komazawa Olympic Gym, Biomonster DNA defeats Kodo Fuyuki in mere minutes to give the FMW team their first win. Tetsuhiro Kuroda though loses to Mr. Gannosuke after submitting to a painful arm lock submission thus tying it up it 1 to 1 for each side going into the last match with Hayabusa taking on Kintaro Kanemura for the WEW World Championship. Hayabusa and Kanemura put on a very good match, as Hayabusa tries everything to defeat Kanemura, even trying the Phoenix Splash for the first time since his double reconstructive surgery on his arms the year before but fails to connect with it and ends up being hit with three straight of Kanemura's Thunder Fire Powerbombs for the Kanemura victory over Hayabusa for the WEW World Title and the right of Fuyuki to take claim of Hayabusa's stock in the promotion. Kodo Fuyuki with the stock who had announced earlier that it would be given over to Mixx Entertainment's Stuart Levy who announces that Shoichi Arai is fired as FMW President and is replaced by FMW Vice President Senmu Yoshida. This also marked Hayabusa's first singles pinfall lost since last November 12th against Kodo Fuyuki.

September 5, 2001 at the Sapporo Green Dome, Hayabusa wears his first non white uniform as Hayabusa since he wrestled in the Hayabusa farewell match back on August 25, 1999 as he would wear for this match. Hayabusa is given another shot at the WEW World Title and Kanemura and manages to kick out of everything Kanemura delivers including a Powerbomb off the apron onto a table and one of the fastest supplexs delivered of all time. Kanemura would begin to get desperate in the match and lowblow Hayabusa to get every advantage until Hayabusa would counter and deliver his own lowblow to Kanemura and then hitting the 450 Fire Bird Splash on him for the victory and his second WEW World Title victory.

September 9, 2001 at Korakuen Hall, President Yoshida shows footage showing that Hayabusa had in fact lowblow Kanemura in their WEW World Title match at Sapporo, and strips Hayabusa of the WEW World Title and gives it back to Kintaro Kanemura. Later in the show, Hayabusa teams up with Tetsuhiro Kuroda and GOEMON to challenge for the WEW 6 Man Tag Team Championship against Kintaro Kanemura, Kodo Fuyuki, and Mr. Gannosuke. Hayabusa ends up getting another pinfall victory over Kanemura, again pinning Kanemura with the Fire Bird Splash for the victory to win the WEW 6 Man Tag Team Titles with Tetsuhiro Kuroda and GOEMON.

October 9, 2001 at Korakuen Hall, Hayabusa and Tetsuhiro Kuroda team up to face WEW Tag Team Champions Mr. Gannosuke and Mammoth Sasaki. Hayabusa and Kuroda would walk away as the Tag Team Champions as Hayabusa would pin Sasaki with the 450 Fire Bird Splash. After the match, Mammoth Sasaki would challenge Hayabusa to a singles match on October22, 2001 at the next Korakuen Hall.

October 22, 2001 at Korakuen Hall, Hayabusa suffers the worst injury in his entire career while facing Mammoth Sasaki in a one on one battle in attempt to win Shoichi Arai his spot back in FMW. Almost ten minutes into the match, Hayabusa would go to do an Asai Moonsault from the inside of the ring on Sasaki when his foot would suddenly slip on the rope and Eiji Ezaki would fall directly on his head causing him to become paralyzed instantly from the neck down. Hayabusa not knowing what to do would tell referee FMW referee Marty Asano for the match to keep going and Asano would tell Mammoth to keep going. Mammoth who was freaking out from what just happen would begin to just kick Hayabusa and wait for him to get up, and then would put Hayabusa in a rear chin lock until Asano had no choice but to stop the match. Shoichi Arai, Kuroda, GOEMON, Onryo Ricky Fuji, among others would head on over to the ring due to the tragic accident. A stretcher would be rushed to the ring as Hayabusa would ask for the mic and address and ask not to rush to the ring and stated to please continue to support FMW for he may have just died for the promotion. Television cameras would then stop filming as paramedics would rush to Korakuen Hall and take off the Hayabusa mask to make it easier for Eiji to breathe as they placed him on the stretcher and would take him to a nearby college hospital in Tokyo. Shoichi Arai and Eiji's wife would be the only ones allowed to visit him while in the hospital the day of the accident.
Days later, while in the hospital, germs would get inside of Hayabusa's body and get into his heart Eiji Ezaki to suffer an incredibly high fever and force the doctors to concentrate on the deathly high fever over being paralyzed from the neck down. Many drugs would be given to Eiji Ezaki to help his fever, all of which would take away his memory from October to late December.

November 5, 2001at Korakuen Hall, Hayabusa is stripped of the WEW Tag Team Titles and WEW 6 Man Tag Team Titles, and Tomokazu Morita is brought in under the new of Garuda to replace Hayabusa while Hayabusa remains in the condition he is in. Mr. Gannosuke would address the fans at the show stating that Hayabusa loved FMW, and that Hayabusa would want you to continue to support FMW, and that he believes in his heart that Hayabusa will return one day and fly again.

December 29, 2001, Eiji Ezaki would be placed into surgery to get rid of the germs that had gone into his heart as there was no other way to get rid of them and get rid of his high fever. The surgery is a success and very soon after, Ezaki's fever would drop down, and with the fever gone, Ezaki would be transported to a Tokyo Rehabilitation Center where over two months past the accident, Ezaki would finally be able to work being able to walk once again.

February 15, 2002, with fans interest very low, no sign of Hayabusa coming back anytime in the near future, and 2 million dollars in debt, Shoichi Arai officially declares FMW for bankruptcy. The promotion that Hayabusa had given his body and soul for over 10 years and officially ended. Shoichi Arai would go into hiding as Kodo Fuyuki would visit Ezaki at the rehabilitation center and give him the horrible news but that he would be starting his own promotion with his own money with the FMW roster. Days later, Ezaki would receive a phone call from Shoichi Arai stating how sorry he was about everything as he was not going to be able to afford to pay Ezaki's hospital bills anymore. Arai would also talk about suicide as it was a way to get his family out of depth in the conversation.

March 10, 2002 at Korakuen Hall, Fuyuki would begin to run the shows that were scheduled for FMW before bankruptcy with the FMW roster with Atsushi Onita appearing at the show. The two would work an angle about Onita stating that Fuyuki and friend former FMW ring announcer Kichisuke Nakamura had taken money from FMW and kept it for themselves. Soon after, Mammoth Sasaki, Flying Kid Ichihara, and GOEMON would stop appearing for Fuyuki's shows. Kodo Fuyuki later in the month would also find out that he had intestine cancer and would have to go in for surgery to remove the cancer and would be force to retire from wrestling.

May 16, 2002 at a Tokyo Park, Hayabusa's friend and boss off 11 years, Shoichi Arai's body is found dead after a early morning jogger found Arai's body hung by his own neck tie. Two days before, Eiji had gotten a phone call from Arai stating that he was going to kill himself to help his family out money wise, Eiji would end the conversation with Arai believing that he had convinced Arai otherwise and to not kill himself. Eiji would get a tape the day of Arai's death stating that by the time anyone be hearing this, he would already be dead. Arai would also state that he hopes that the rest of FMW would help continue to support Hayabusa and that he was sorry for disappointing everyone. Eiji Ezaki would soon become very depressed over the lost of his friend Shoichi Arai.

Days later, an idea was presented to Hayabusa about a new promotion being started with Hayabusa being used as the face of the promotion with Hayabusa doing the bookings of the promotion with former FMW wrestlers Mr. Gannosuke, Mammoth Sasaki, GOEMON, Onryo, Garuda, Flying Kid Ichihara, Satoshi Makita, and Happy Ikeda all being apart of the promotion. A Japanese computer company would become the financial backer for the promotion and the WMF would be soon born, but until then it would be kept a secret from everyone until July 1, 2002 when the announcement of the promotion would be announced for July 3rd.

July 3, 2002 at a Tokyo Press Conference, Hayabusa makes his first public appearance in 254 days since being paralyzed on October 22, 2001. Confined to a wheel chair with friends Mr. Gannosuke and Jinsei Shinzaki, Hayabusa announces the official start of the promotion the WMF "Wrestling Marvelous Future" and would have an alliance with Hayabusa's friend The Great Sasuke's Michinoku Pro as well Ultimo Dragon's Toryumon as the promotion would run a practice show on August 18th in Saitama and would run its first show on August 28th at the Tokyo Differ Ariake.

August 18, 2002 at the Saitama Pepe Hall Atlas, WMF run its practice show. Hayabusa is at the rehabilitation center so is unable to appear at the show but on phone announces to the crowd that he will appear at the August 28th Differ Ariake show. Mitsuhiro Matsunaga also appears at the show very upset at Mr. Gannosuke and Mammoth Sasaki over the both of them forcing Hayabusa's rule of no death matches in the WMF. Matsunaga appears at the end of the show from the crowd and goes into the ring and bashes how WMF does not want him or death matches in the promotion. Mr. Gannosuke heads to the ring and brawls with Matsunaga until Matsunaga heads out but before leaving states that this is not the last you have seen of him.

August 28, 2002 at the Differ Ariake, Hayabusa is introduced to the crowd and gives a very emotional speech talking about his is accident and everything he has had to go through including the death of Shoichi Arai. Hayabusa then asks that everybody stand for a 10 bell salute in the memory of Shoichi Arai. Afterwards, a very tearful Hayabusa would begin to stand up with the help from braces attached to his legs and a cane to show how far he has came since such a horrible accident. Hayabusa would stay and watch the match between friends Mr. Gannosuke and Jinsei Shinzaki against Tetsuhiro Kuroda and GOEMON, but during the match a very upset Mitsuhiro Matsunaga would appear and attack both Gannosuke and Shinzaki with his barbwire baseball bat causing Gannosuke to bleed. Matsunaga would then leave but not before staring at an upset Hayabusa watching in his wheelchair when GOEMON would soon appear and high five Matsunaga and make his way to the ring to cheer on Kuroda. Kuroda would soon get the pinfall on Gannosuke and GOEMON would then begin to pound on both the beaten Gannosuke and Shinzaki with help from Kuroda and Oya. The three would then walk over to a very upset Hayabusa as GOEMON would take Hayabusa's water bottle and then take a sip and then poor the bottle over Hayabusa's head and then spit the water in his face. Gannosuke would soon get up and rush at the three, but would be too late. GOEMON would later announce along with Kuroda, Oya, and Soldier that he was forming a group called Brand Double Cross.

Hayabusa is in very good spirits these days with the new promotion despite so much tragedy in the past year. He still rehabs three hours a day everyday and plans on walking by himself as well as plans on returning to the ring to wrestle for the WMF as soon as possible
